Can Amazon Chip Away at Google and Facebook’s Digital Ad Dominance?

Data aggregator eMarketer Monday released a report indicating Google and Facebook’s (aka “the duopoly”) dominance of the digital ad market is about to be less dominant, as “smaller players” like Amazon and Snapchat are on the rise. (Adweek)

Google’s share is expected to decline from 38.6 percent last year to 37.2 percent in 2018, while Facebook could shrink slightly from 19.9 percent to 19.6 percent. (Recode)
