GoDaddy.com "Genie"

Brand: GoDaddy.com
Agency: GoDaddy.com
Review Date: June 18, 2009

GoDaddy founder and CEO Bob Parsons plays the title role in "Genie." He wears a goofy turban and sits in a lawn chain. Anna Rawson, a comely LPGA golfer and model -- identified on screen, because otherwise no one would know who she is -- wishes for "the world's longest drive." Another comely lass with darker hair, not identified on screen, doesn't have any lines, and therefore gives the best performance of the three. The spot is so ridiculously bad, it's hopeless. They should've kept this one bottled up. And that lame joke is arguably more amusing than the commercial. I'd always hoped to see more mindless ads with hot babes. Well, this one proves you really should be careful what you wish for. --David Gianatasio
