ESPN.com "Fantasy Baseball"Agency: Wieden + Kennedy, Inc. Review Date: March 11, 2009 I don't play fantasy baseball and rarely even watch a game, but I can appreciate a good commercial about how ESPN can help those who do. A new ESPN.com spot from Wieden + Kennedy in New York opens with a fan logging in to the site at his desk. Thankfully it then takes us not to the usual shots of the onscreen experience, but translates it instead into a moving sequence of live-action scenes enhanced by graphics and uses the ever-present digital marker, the slash, to move the ad along and take viewers through the “pages” of the experience. The ad moves from left to right as an address in your toolbar does and ends with a shot of actress Alyssa Milano, a self-described baseball fanatic who is writing a book about her tales of the sport, using the site.
