Adweek Readers Pick Their Influentials

- Tim Nudd

The centerpiece of our 30th anniversary celebration is our photographic portfolio of 30 of the most influential executives working in advertising, marketing and media today. As part of our celebration, we also wanted to know whom our readers would pick for such a list.

To find out, we posted an online poll six weeks ago asking readers to make their picks from among 70 choices. Some 13,590 votes later, we present Adweek readers' top 30 in the chart below.

As it turns out, 20 of the 30 picks on Adweek's list are also on the reader list, including the top five vote-getters: Steve Jobs, Alex Bogusky, Minda Gralnek, Oprah Winfrey, Mark Zuckerberg and Jon Stewart. Among executives who did not appear among the Adweek 30, the top vote-getters included Bill Gates (at No. 6 on the readers' list), Warren Buffett (No. 10), YouTube's Steve Chen (No. 12), and David Droga, Jeff Bezos and J.J. Abrams (Nos. 16-18).

On the flip side, the executives on Adweek's list who got the fewest votes from Adweek readers were Live Nation's Michael Rapino (who garnered only 33 votes) and Comcast's Brian L. Roberts (52 votes).

Thanks to everyone who voted.
