The meetings will take place at Home Depot's headquarters in Atlanta. Contending for the business are WPP Group's JWT in New York, Interpublic Group's Hill, Holliday, Connors, Cosmopulos in Boston, Omnicom Group's GSD&M Idea City in Austin, Texas, and the incumbent, independent shop The Richards Group in Dallas. Last Tuesday was the deadline for participating holding companies to respond to a request for proposals in Hewlett-Packard's global review of creative and media duties on its Technology Solutions Group business. The creative piece includes traditional advertising, direct marketing, search-engine marketing and interactive duties.
