June 23, 2008

- Shahnaz Mahmud

NEW YORK Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia has hired Orlando Reece as svp, broadcast sales to oversee cross-platform opportunities.

Reece defected from Yahoo!, where he served as executive director, sales strategy, for the past year and a half. At MSLO he replaces Liz Koman.

With a mandate to lead the sales effort for all of MSLO broadcast properties, Reece said his first order of business is to score good deals in the upfront: "It's a strong market and we really want to capture [some] of that."

MSLO evp of media sales Jacki Kelley said: "Orlando has a fantastic track record bringing together integrated programs for clients, which is very much a priority for MSLO. His relationships and understanding of the broadcast marketplace and its constant evolution will be an asset as we continue to innovate across all platforms."

Prior to Yahoo!, Reece, a 15-year veteran of network and cable television sales, served as a vp at Disney ABC.  He also held senior ad sales positions at MTV Networks.

"I'm looking forward to working across all platforms to leverage all of the company's media assets and drive sales for clients," added Reece.
