LOS ANGELES Creative directors Jimmy Smith, Kerry Feuerman, Perry Fair and Jayanta Jenkins have joined Omnicom's TBWA\Chiat\Day shop here, beefing up the Gatorade and Nissan/Infiniti businesses, according to Rob Schwartz, agency ecd.

Smith, 46, has been named group cd on the newly won Gatorade account. Smith's background includes stints at Omnicom sibling BBDO in New York, where he worked on Motorola and independent Wieden + Kennedy, where he was a key player on the Nike team in Portland, Ore. He contributed to Wieden's MTV street basketball series Battlegrounds.

Feuerman, 56, formerly with Publicis Groupe's Fallon, Minneapolis, and Leo Burnett, Chicago, joins the Playa del Rey, Calif.-based shop as a group creative director on Nissan/Infiniti. During a previous stint at IPG's The Martin Agency, Richmond, Va., Feuerman worked on Mercedes-Benz and Saab.

Fair, 33, was most recently ecd at The True Agency here and he also worked at Omnicom's Element 79, Chicago, on Gatorade and at Wieden on Nike. He's been assigned to the Nissan team as a creative director.

Jenkins, 37, has been named an associate cd, assigned to Gatorade. He also hails from Wieden and Martin.

Schwartz said the hires "are people who not only have proven records in traditional disciplines, but more importantly are comfortable and conversant in this new world of digital and media arts."
