Enfatico's Torrence Boone

NEW YORK Enfatico worldwide CEO Torrence Boone has promoted from within to fill two key posts at the WPP Group shop: worldwide chief operating officer and managing director for the Asia-Pacific region.

Jeffrey Wilks, who previously was president of Enfatico's Business Solutions Group, has become COO, and Harish Vasudevan, who was regional COO for Enfatico's evolution from Project DaVinci, is now managing director for the Asia-Pacific region. Both report to Boone.

Wilks, 46, will continue to have a hand in managing the agency's only client, Dell, while others will contribute to those efforts. As such, Enfatico will not fill the division president's role.

The shop's operational model is "ripe with challenges," given that it's absorbing the marketing services duties of more than 850 shops that previously worked for Dell worldwide, even while ramping up globally, Boone said. "Jeffrey is masterful on operational issues," he added.

Vasudevan, 45, will oversee more than 250 staffers in Asia-Pacific's eight offices, according to an agency representative. Before Enfatico, he was an Asia-Pacific director for Ogilvy & Mather in Singapore. He'll continue to be based in Beijing and Wilks will remain in New York.

"Having regional leadership is pivotal because a lot of work we're doing will originate in emerging markets," said Boone. The shop also has managing directors for Latin American and the region encompassing Europe, Africa and the Middle
East.

In addition, Boone has named a global creative director and account leaders for the small business and consumer-directed segments of Dell.

The small business account chief is Liz Deutch, a former group management director at Interpublic Group's DraftFCB in New York, who takes the title of chief value architect.

Deutch, 48, previously worked on Hewlett-Packard, Computer Associates and Verizon Wireless at DraftFCB. At Enfatico, she'll be based in New York, as will Jennifer Kuratek Seidel, the new chief value architect for the consumer component of Dell.

Kuratek Seidel, 38, previously was a senior account director at Omnicom Group's BBDO in New York, where she worked on Monster and Johnson & Johnson.

The new global creative director is Dave Schafer, a former cd at WPP's RTCRM in Washington, D.C., where his clients included AARP. Schafer, 43, will focus on Dell's commercial segment from Enfatico's Austin, Texas, office. He becomes part of a pool of about a half-dozen seasoned creative directors that report to worldwide chief creative officer Ken Segall.

WPP created Enfatico from scratch after winning Dell's global marketing services account in December 2007.

Initially, the agency had hoped to hire 1,000 staffers for the shop by March, but that threshold wasn't reached until September. The shop now has 13 offices in 10 countries around the world.
