BOSTON Euro RSCG 4D has named Matt Atkinson global CEO, succeeding George Gallate, who becomes global chairman of the Havas-owned digital shop.

Atkinson had been CEO of sibling shop EHS Brann in London since 2004, and prior to that he served as managing director of integrated marketing company Tequila.

In his new post, he reports to David Jones, Euro RSCG's global CEO, who said in a statement: "Matt will focus on continuing to improve our offering throughout the world in order to provide world class service to our clients and to build the reputation of our 4D bran globally."

Said Atkinson: "Euro RSCG has enjoyed a leadership position in digital since the inception of digital. And what makes us stand out from so many of our competitors today is the fact that while we have a superior understanding of that discipline, we also understand brands. This unique skill set allows us to build programs that engage consumers and drive our clients' brands to the future first."

Atkinson will continue to be based in the U.K.
