Glenn Engler rises at Digitas.

BOSTON Publicis Groupe's Digitas said it has named Glenn Engler president of its headquarters office here.

He has been an evp and helmed major accounts such as General Motors and XM. Engler retains oversight for those accounts and now adds overall responsibility for agency operations in Boston, Atlanta and Detroit.

Engler succeeds Torrence Boone, who has departed to lead WPP Group's Dell-focused Enfatico shop.

Digitas CEO Laura Lang described Engler as a "proven leader" whose marketing abilities and track record of generating results for clients made him the right choice to become president. Prior to Digitas, Engler worked at CDI and Mercer Management Consulting.

Boone in June joined Enfatico as worldwide CEO. He is based in New York and joined a management team that includes chief creative officer Ken Segall, chief media officer Matt Rayner, consumer solutions group president Stephen Sonnenfeld and business solutions group president Jeffrey Wilks.
