NEW YORK Mark Chalmers has joined digital shop Perfect Fools as partner and creative director, a new position.

He will work across the agency's offices here and in Stockholm, Sweden, and help set up an Amsterdam, the Netherlands, outpost in the spring. His assignments include Electrolux, Samsung and K-Swiss, among others.

"Amsterdam is one of the most creative cities in the world and is a hub for pan-European and global brands. Having a local presence means we can target more international clients," said Chalmers.

He was formerly senior creative executive at independent StrawberryFrog in Amsterdam, working on global campaigns for clients including Heineken, Mitsubishi, Coca-Cola and Asics Tiger. Since leaving the agency late last year, he independently created global ads for K-Swiss athletic attire starring runner Sebastien Foucan.

Chalmers was a founder of StrawberryFrog guerilla marketing affiliate BlueberryFrog, where he worked on Sony Ericsson and Ikea, among others. At U.K. agency HHCL in the 1990s, he worked on the well-known Tango campaigns.

Patrick Gardner, co-founder and partner of Perfect Fools, said Chalmers' international experience and leadership skills make him a good catch.
