Brunner hopes to build on a solid foundation with Beazer.

BOSTON Beazer Homes has named independent Brunner to handle its advertising account without a review.

The assignment includes creative, media, digital, direct and promotional services. New online and offline work is slated to break in October.

The client spent about $5 million on ads through May and $12 million during all of 2007, per Nielsen Monitor-Plus.

Beazer marketing chief Kathi James said: "Brunner is a good fit for our culture, and they have the strong strategic and creative capabilities we need right now to build our brand and drive traffic to the communities where we're building our homes. Most important, their track record of producing results was a key factor in our decision to award the business to them."

The client is based in Atlanta and builds homes in 30 markets in the Southeast, Mid-Atlantic, Midwest, West and Central United States.

Brunner claims $200 million in billings across offices in Pittsburgh, Atlanta and Washington, D.C. The shop employs about 185 staffers. Other clients include the Atlanta Bread Co., Consol Energy, Cub Cadet, Dow Chemical, Edwin Watts Golf, GlaxoSmithKline, GNC and Zippo.
