Mullen Names Innovation ChiefFormer McKinney exec joins as first major hire by Mullen's new ECDAug 20, 2008 ![]() Matt Fischvogt, unleashed at Mullen. Most recently, he was an associate creative director at McKinney in Durham, N.C, where he helped fashion the agency's well-regarded "Art of the Heist" integrated campaign for Audi. A copywriter by trade, he also worked on Sony, Virgin Atlantic Airways and Oasys Mobile while at McKinney. "We're going to windup Matt and let him go wild," said Mark Wenneker, managing partner, ecd at Mullen. "His mission has no boundaries. New business, new media, new talent -- he'll be a part of it all. We want Matt to apply his big creative mind to doing things we've never imagined." He becomes the first major hire made by Wenneker since the latter joined Mullen in March from Omnicom's Goodby, Silverstein & Partners in San Francisco. Added Fischvogt: "I've been a longtime admirer of Mark and Mullen's work. Add to that Mullen's future downtown [Boston] address and a commitment to delivering innovative work that brings amazing results to brands and I'm really psyched." Prior to McKinney, he worked at The Martin Agency, an IPG shop in Richmond, Va., and Arnika, a shop he co-founded in Richmond.
