![]() MRM Elevates Cripps in AsiaNovember 18, 2009 MRM Worldwide has elevated Mark Cripps to director of its Asia-Pacific operations. He had previously been evp, digital director of MRM in that region. In his new role, Cripps is responsible for the oversight of about 400 employees. Cripps takes over from MRM Worldwide COO Bill Kolb, who had been acting regional director since 2007 in addition to his primary role. Kolb cited Cripps' relentless drive over the past three years to implement digital training across the region for the MRM network, his exemplary account management and his continued thought leadership prowess. Cripps joined MRM as regional digital strategy director in July 2006 and ran the Intel CIM business from the Hong Kong office, where he will continue to be based. In addition to her position at Porter Novelli, DeBuono will continue in her role as adjunct professor at the George Washington University School of Public Health and Health Services. Prior to joining the shop, DeBuono was executive director, public health and government for Pfizer, responsible for creating and managing public-private partnership programs. Earlier in her career, she served as CEO of New York-Presbyterian Healthcare Network and as commissioner of health for the State of New York under former Gov. George Pataki. ![]() Culbertson Arrives at MRMSeptember 29, 2009 MRM Worldwide in New York has hired Jason Culbertson, who was most recently at Atmosphere BBDO, as a creative director on its U.S. Army account. As an entrepreneur, Culbertson is known as the founder of industry commentary platforms AgencyScoop.com and Ad Battle. "It's becoming second nature for people to engage in social media all the time on every type of available screen," Culbertson said. "Even the new digital TVs come equipped with Twitter and Facebook on their interfaces. Marketers have to know how and when to engage in the places consumers live on the Web." Culbertson has used various tools and techniques to help create campaigns for consumer-facing companies. At Atmosphere BBDO, which he joined in 2006, he was a senior art director working on Citibank, Bud Light, Target, Hertz and AT&T. "Jason's expertise in using Web-based social platforms and his knowledge about emerging media will serve the Army's efforts well in the dialogue we have developed with the target audience," said Michael Jacobs, agency evp, ecd.
