George Pataki. ![]() Culbertson Arrives at MRMSeptember 29, 2009 MRM Worldwide in New York has hired Jason Culbertson, who was most recently at Atmosphere BBDO, as a creative director on its U.S. Army account. As an entrepreneur, Culbertson is known as the founder of industry commentary platforms AgencyScoop.com and Ad Battle. "It's becoming second nature for people to engage in social media all the time on every type of available screen," Culbertson said. "Even the new digital TVs come equipped with Twitter and Facebook on their interfaces. Marketers have to know how and when to engage in the places consumers live on the Web." Culbertson has used various tools and techniques to help create campaigns for consumer-facing companies. In that position, Baer will provide thought leadership to all Cheil USA clients in integrated brand strategy, consumer insights, account planning and analytics. He will report to Michael Kim, president of Cheil USA. Previously, Baer was president of Big Fuel Communications, a New York-based marketing company, working for clients like Colgate-Palmolive, Yahoo and Fisher-Price. Baer has also held senior positions at iCrossing, TBWA, Deutsch, Rapp Collins and JWT. Kim said: "Ian's extensive experience in all areas of marketing complemented by his expertise in new media will add another level to our clients' marketing strategies." ![]() Eve Asbury Joins Hill, HollidaySeptember 15, 2009 IPG's Hill, Holliday is integrating production capabilities for broadcast, print and digital at one unit of the Boston-based agency. The shop has hired Eve Asbury as evp, director of integrated production and technology to lead the effort. She will manage more than 70 staffers across the agency network, reporting to shop president Karen Kaplan. Asbury joins from WPP's JWT in New York, where she reengineered agency workflow across all disciplines and introduced and led project management. Earlier, she held senior posts at Team One in El Segundo, Calif., and Saatchi & Saarchi in New York. Said Asbury: "I was drawn to Hill, Holliday because it's a unique agency with some of the smartest people in the business who have a commitment to drive innovation in marketing. Rogers reports to agency president and CEO Paul MacKay, who said: "He is multi-disciplinary, with a skill for creating truly inventive work. I believe that he will thrive in our fully integrated environment." Rogers worked most recently as co-founder and cd of Operator, a new media shop based in New York. He launched his career at McCann Erickson and Berlin Cameron as a planner and writer, before joining Powell New York, a design-focused communication company, in 2001 as strategic and creative partner. Rogers remained with the group when Powell merged with Margeotes Fertitta and Partners in 2005 to form Margeotes Fertitta Powell, where he became partner and concept director.
