Ramos Rises at Jay Advertising

Roberto Ramos has been promoted to account director and director of Hispanic advertising on Buick, Pontiac and GMC at Jay Advertising in Los Angeles. Ramos previously worked at Maxim Group and Bates Advertising. Jay also added former McCann Erickson and Martin-Jay Retail veteran Michele Beltran as senior account executive and former Martin-Jay account executive Jorge Avalos as Hispanic marketing account executive for Buick, Pontiac and GMC in Southern California. Amanda Jakovich, formerly of Cramer-Krasselt and Team One, has joined Jay as Western region vp, account director for the retail automotive division. Vicki Czuprinski, most recently with Martin-Jay, has arrived as Western region account director for the GM Southwest marketing association at Jay's Phoenix office.

Italia, Marlis Form Wild Canary

Richard Marlis, former evp of Klasky-Csupo's commercial division ka-chew, and Carmen Italia, marketing executive and founder of Italia Partners, have joined forces to start Wild Canary in Burbank, Calif. Liz Seidman is on board as executive producer of animation, and directors Paul DeMeyer and Gary Johns and producer Chris Hutchison have signed with the venture. Spots for Mucinex and Chuck E. Cheese are already under way, along with projects for Disney, Marvel Studios, Cartoon Network and Fox. Italia owned and ran his own studio, building it to billings of over $100 million and working for clients such as CompUSA, Sears, Wendy's and True Value.

Wang Arrives at Avenue A/Razorfish

Avenue A/Razorfish has named Jason Wang technology director at its Los Angeles office. Colin Kinsella, West region president, lauded Wang's "strong technology expertise in a variety of industries." The L.A. office works for Fox and Yahoo!, among other clients. In his new post, Wang will manage the i-agency's technology team as well as its business development projects. Previously, he was a technology strategist and engagement manager at SpeakTech.

Bera Moves to Bradshaw Advertising

Bradshaw Advertising in Portland, Ore., has hired Monique Bera as production manager, according to Barbara Bradshaw, president, to whom she reports. Prior to joining the independent agency, Bera was print and production manager at the Martz Agency in Scottsdale, Ariz. Clients with whom Bera has worked include Mercedes, Burger King, Nintendo and the Phoenix Suns.

Beindorf Returns to Campos Creative Works

Campos Creative Works, Santa Monica, Calif., has rehired Jennifer Beindorf as director of strategic development, according to Julio Campos, founding partner and creative director. In her new position at CCW, Beindorf will be responsible for new business development. Most recently, she was svp of automotive at IAG Research, which she joined after her first stint at CCW as vp of sales, marketing and account management from 2002-05.

Barry Ziehl has progressed to svp of worldwide public relations and marketing at Warner Bros. Consumer Products in Burbank, Calif., according to Karen McTier, evp of domestic licensing and worldwide marketing, to whom he reports. Ziehl will continue to drive the global PR efforts for WBCP and its affiliated entertainment brands while adding responsibilities for the DC Comics and Franchise Films marketing group. He has been with WBCP since 1999. Before that, Ziehl worked in marketing for the U.S. Postal Service, Washington, D.C.

Eric Joseph has become president and COO of mobile marketing firm 3rd Dimension, New York, taking over for founder Paul Grillo, who continues as CEO. Joseph will deploy the company's mobile video, real-time traffic service and develop a national mobile ad network. Previously, he was svp and worldwide marketing director for Titan Worldwide, an out-of-home ad sales company. Before that, Joseph was at SFX/Clear Channel Entertainment.

Wieden + Kennedy has appointed Lee Newman managing director of its Amsterdam, the Netherlands, office. Newman joins executive creative directors John Norman and Jeff Kling on the management team of that agency location. Newman was previously at Omnicom Group's GSD&M Idea City in Austin, Texas, as svp and group account director on BMW. Before that, he worked at McKinney in Durham, N.C., on Audi.

Dennis Chang has moved to Turner Entertainment New Media, Los Angeles, as West Coast sales manager for the group and national sales manager for NBA.com.  He reports to Walker Jacobs, svp, Turner Entertainment New Media ad sales. Chang most recently served as vp of online advertising sales at HuffingtonPost.com, which he joined while it was still a startup, building the company's national ad sales team and developing the site's sales strategy. He's also a former Northeast account executive for Reuters.com.

Wildbrain Animation Studios, San Francisco, has added Jacq Nichols as director of business development at its New York-based Kidrobot subsidiary, where she will oversee the studio's commercial and short-form sales and marketing efforts. She reports to Andrea Mansour, vp and executive producer. Nichols was most recently director of business development at RhinoPost, New York, and previously worked at ReelFX/Radium, where she managed new commercial business. In those jobs she worked with agencies representing brands such as AOL, Bose, Cartoon Network and Pepsi, among others.

Independent RPA, Santa Monica, Calif., has installed Jim Sieminski as vp and account director. He reports to Tom Kirk, evp, management account director, on new business and will direct the Pentax account. Sieminski had been svp, account director at independent Doner, Newport Beach, Calif. He also worked at Dentsu and IPG's Dailey & Associates. Kirk said that Sieminski's "breadth of agency account management experience across all disciplines will be a valuable asset for the Pentax team and our new business efforts."

Ascent Media Group, Santa Monica, Calif., has named Tom Kuehle svp of digital services. Formerly a vp of digital content services at HP, Kuehle will head product and business development at AMG's digital services group and report to Jose Royo, CEO. AMG works with clients such as Sony Pictures Entertainment and Paramount Pictures on digital content delivery. Royo said there were "few executives in the industry who can match Kuehle's combination of deep technological understanding, market insight and leadership abilities."

She was most recently at Interpublic Group's McCann Erickson, where she worked on the Mexico Board of Tourism; at Leo Burnett, on Walt Disney World; and Disney Cruise Line, and at indie R&R Partners, on Excalibur Hotel and Mandalay Resort Group.

At Perfect Fools, she will manage the agency's domestic and international expansion, including in Stockholm, Sweden, and the soon-to-be-opened Amsterdam, the Netherlands, offices.

Kennen Sisco has joined Interpublic Group's TM Advertising, Dallas, as creative services manager. She reports to CCO Jim Walker. Sisco was most recently based in Los Angeles, where she worked in creative services at IPG's Dailey & Associates, Omnicom Group's TBWA\Chiat\Day and independent Ground Zero. "Kennen brings a wealth of expertise ranging from Hollywood to the agency and production worlds," said Walker of Sisco, a former personal assistant to actor Jon Voight. "She is genuinely passionate about our business, is remarkably talented and will bring a terrific energy to TM."
