After eight years as director/professor at VCU Brandcenter, it looks like Rick Boyko is hanging it up at the Richmond, VA-based “school of mass communications.” Boyko, who does sound rather resigned, no pun intended, in the clip above, joined VCU in 2003 from Ogilvy & Mather, where he was co-president/CCO.
Anyhow, it doesn’t look like the school is resting on its laurels when it comes to finding his successor as it’s launched “The Who Search,” which exists as an online hub (and is set up like an interactive infographic) that includes the Brandcenter director job listing/description, a people recommendation window, stat charts, a Richmond, VA guide and another video message from the chairman of the board, Mike Hughes.
