What is Going On At Momentum?

By Kiran Aditham

Hmm, we’re awaiting word on the matter but we’re hearing that Momentum is going through an, um, Momentum shift? Where the hell are they? Well let’s let this memo clear a few things up.

“As the marketing landscape continues to evolve, so must our organizational strategy and structure.  With this in mind, I am excited to share the news that we are repositioning the Live Event Production and Integrated Production teams into a single Production team.  Together they will specialize in creating total brand experiences in all physical and digital spaces.  While these teams already work closely together, this shift to a single department will enhance our ability to deliver a product that brings forward the level of innovation and quality our clients demand.  This shift is accompanied by the following leadership changes in North America:Peter Office is a leader who has made a significant contribution to Momentum over the past six years.  Outside of his work as head of our live events practice, Peter has served on our executive board, led our Chicago agency and recently our global Talent Team.  For many years before joining Momentum, Peter successfully led a company of his own and he has made the decision to reestablish his business with Momentum as his first client.  He will continue to consult for us and maintain an office in Chicago for the foreseeable future.

Over the last year, Karen Monahan has been key in the development of Momentum’s integrated production capability.  Her work in this capacity has helped us improve our process and collaborative agility in many exciting ways.  What you might not know is that Karen also has an extensive background in digital education and served as a teacher at Parsons in New York for many years before joining our agency.  Karen’s skillset and passion around education has led her to a new post within McCann Worldgroup where she will lead the agency in educating its global employees around the digital space as McCann works to build a more hybrid staff.  Karen will still be a partner to Momentum in this new capacity, supporting our internal digital education platforms.

We have an exceptional group of directors on our production team and I am excited to announce the promotion of two very talented team members who will be joining the director ranks immediately.  Tim Owens from New York and Andrea Mitchell from St. Louis have been promoted to Director of Production for their respective offices.

Tim and Andrea will join Jon Stanley, Bill Vaughn, Amelia Sutton and Melissa Hamilton and together they will lead our production efforts in North America.

After the first of the year, we will be introducing a total brand experience discipline lead.   This person will be charged with driving innovation in the space and creating agency-ownable thought leadership opportunities in the marketplace.

Congratulations to all in their new roles.

DL”
