Just over a month after Sprint announced its search for a new creative agency and a few weeks after the death of the “framily” became official, the company’s creative review appears to be moving along.

At EOD Friday, sources told Adweek that five shops remained:

This morning a tipster provided us with an (unsubstantiated) update.

From the post on Friday:

“After next week’s meeting, Sprint is expected to narrow the field to two agencies for a final round before making a selection.”

The tipster claims that this “narrowing” has already occurred and that the group of five is now two.

A second source, however, tells us that no such decision has been made. No reps at Sprint or at any of the agencies involved would discuss the review, so this rumor will remain just that for the time being.
