We Hear: Layoffs at DDB

By Kaitlin Madden

AgencySpy has received word from multiple sources that the axe was laid at DDB Chicago yesterday. “Bloodbath” was the term one tipster used to describe the scene at DDB yesterday-the source also said that the pink slips were dealt primarily to members of the agency’s creative department. Calls and emails to DDB Chicago and DDB Worldwide were not returned.

The layoffs come less than a week after DDB parent-company Omnicom released less than stellar fourth-quarter earnings, citing a drop in ad spending as the primary cause of the 15 percent profit loss.
