Verizon Wireless Consolidates Retail Business

Sources familiar with the matter confirm that due to economic reasons, Verizon Wireless is consolidating its retail business at Pace Advertising.  As a result, the brand will be shifting production of its bilingual collateral which GlobalHue was translating from general market agencies to Pace, effective January 2011.

From what we’ve been told, though, the collateral production shift doesn’t affect the creative or strategic efforts for Verizon Wireless at GlobalHue, which still handles the brand’s African-American and Hispanic business. Though GH will continue handling the Wireless retail portion through year’s end, this latest news comes just two months after the agency lost the Verizon Telecom business to Lopez. What’s next?
