While we await the upcoming Heat-Mavericks NBA battle, there’s another Lone Star State-related matter that caught our attention, that being energy company TXU, or as they say, “Your Texas electricity provider,” which has transferred its agency duties from TracyLocke over to The Richards Group. We’ve been told by sources familiar with the matter that there was no review and the reason for the change was that the private equity-funded TXU “wanted to be a big fish in a small pond.”. Our sources add that TracyLocke will still be working on activation efforts for TXU but in terms of lead creative work, there will be a 90-day transition period from agency to agency.
