-“Boom Boom Clap” is the latest ad in the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority’s (LVCVA) “Vegas You” campaign. It serves as a reminder that Las Vegas is ready and excited to welcome visitors.

The ad highlights Las Vegas as the ultimate place for a great time, showing a group of women dancing through Vegas casinos and landmarks, like The Mayfair Supper Club at Bellagio Resort & Casino, the Aquatic Fountain at Caesars Palace, The Chandelier at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, the High Roller Observation Wheel at The LINQ Promenade, Resorts World Las Vegas and the Atrium at Wynn Las Vegas.

-Omnicom Media Group’s PHD looked outside the agency world to hire its first U.S. head of commerce, hiring Sarah Clayton for the role. She comes from Bayer Consumer Healthcare, where she spent the past six years in consumer products marketing and brand management roles.

-MDC Partners agency Doner has just hired its first leader dedicated to diversity, equity and inclusion, Sheila Minetola.

-At the height of the pandemic’s first wave, KFC dropped its “Finger Lickin’ Good” slogan. Now that the decades-old slogan has returned with new work from Mother, Adweek spoke to the U.K. marketing team about its decision-making processes.

-In other chicken news, just when you thought the chicken sandwich wars were over, they pull you back in. Burger King has made good on a promise from earlier this year, rolling out a 2021 version of its fried chicken sandwich with this statement: “We committed to not half a**ing our sandwich, and we meant it.” Meanwhile, Taco Bell is bringing back a fan favorite, the Naked Chicken Chalupa.

-Creative marketing and communications agency Shadow has been selected as the agency of record for Moët Hennessy’s emerging brands, Belvedere Vodka, Glenmorangie Whisky and Volcán de Mi Tierra Tequila. Shadow will be responsible for media relations and influencer marketing, as well as for events and partnerships for each of the brands.

-Milk Agency, an independent creative shop born out of Milk Studios, has launched a new incubator to support early-stage startups led by founders of underrepresented groups. The incubator is the brainchild of Dan Scott-Croxford, Milk Agency’s newly appointed executive creative director.

Angela Wei, Milk Agency’s managing partner, said in a statement: “We’re in a unique position to provide a post-pandemic platform that accelerates smart founders to a competitive edge, in a world that has disproportionately affected women- and BIPOC-led businesses. We’re looking forward to giving these companies a competitive edge in the marketplace that helps them gain traction through strategy, brand identity, partnerships, and creative work.”
