-Omnicom-owned digital agency Critical Mass has nabbed first-ever digital AOR duties for Valspar’s Guardsman brand. From what we’ve been told by sources, Havas is on the roster handling media, etc. while Draft was one of the agencies in the pitch. Guardsman digital duties will be spearheaded by Critical Mass’s Chicago office, with first work set to launch early next year.

-Barclays has announced a global agency review, affecting well over 200 on its roster. link

-While we’re on the Omnicom tip, the holding company’s Fort Lauderdale-based agency Zimmerman has expanded its five-year relationship with White Castle, adding strategic web redesign duties to its remit. We’ve been told that two smaller, regional agencies competed for the biz.

Phoenix/NYC-based marketing strategy, social media and SEO-focused agency iAcquire recently has moved to Silicon Alley, specifically 304 Park Avenue South in New York.
