The 18-Minute ‘Lemonade: Detroit’ Short is Now Open to the Public

By Kiran Aditham

It’s been a while since we checked in with Lemonade creator Erik Proulx to see how’s progress with his follow-up, Lemonade: Detroit. Well, while the film is far from completion according to the man himself, Proulx is offering up this 17-minute short to the public as more of a status update from the Motor City than a completed work.

For the last three months, Proulx has only been sharing the rough-cut posting to those “microproducers” who participated in his “Buy a Frame” funding efforts for Lemonade: Detroit. But as Proulx explains, he was finally convinced by a friend to polish and open it up to everyone. Since the project is still continuing, Proulx is accepting Buy a Frame producers for what will eventually be a feature-length film.
