Team Behind Instaprint Wants to Go Mass-Market

A year after unveiling the prototype for their Instagram-friendly device called Instaprint at various large brand events (including SXSW 2011), the minds at New York-based shop Breakfast want to offer their product directly to consumers. According to the Breakfast bunch, since the launch, they’ve been hit with “thousands” of requests to turn Instaprint into a consumer product, so as a result, they’ve been compelled to use Kickstarter to raise the necessary funds ($500K or so) and eventually let people pre-order the device. Here’s a quick, animated rundown the team created last year on how Instaprint works.
