Steve Farrell Out at Publicis Modem

By Kiran Aditham

We’ve received confirmation that Publicis Modem ECD Steve Farrell, who’s been with the agency for three years, has been relieved of his duties. The New York-based Farrell, who worked on clients including Citibank and Hasbro and led creative for the agency’s digital AOR efforts with LG, was also a GCD at Digitas, ACD at Agency.com and worked as digital director at MTVN/Spike prior to joining Publicis Modem.

We’re being told that Farrell’s cohort and fellow ECD Patrick Clarke is assuming dual-duty at present time.

Update: A source familiar with the matter chimes in with this: “Publicis Modem was looking to consolidate creative under one ECD and Steve raised his hand to leave. He always pushed for the agency to be less full service and to be more focused on the emerging aspect of digital. He just finished leading the iAd work for Citi and felt he could leave with all commitments wrapped.”
