AdMob had 1.72 billion impressions in November alone. The company has beaten Google to the punch and is proving industry nay-sayers since 2005 (“Mobile advertising? Never? Bahhumbug!”). As the industry ages (new technologies, unlocked networks, etc.), new and more creative ways of advertising in the mobile space will continue to develop. Mobile advertising is here to stay. In 2008, we expect to see AdMob take advantage of their first mover status and make some serious cash.
