Search Election: Advertising Agency News – All The Time

By SuperSpy

Something new is coming to the advertising block – Search Election. The system is what creator and ad blogger, Tribble, calls a “fixed” AdAge Power 150. In case you didn’t know, he’s a bit pissed with them for not including his blog into the 150 list. From great anger can come great things. In this case, Search Election, which to us is more more like a Power 150 on steroids.

Search Election is sort of like a Digg for advertising, as well as part massive RSS reader. How it works: users can submit and vote on ad stories from across the web. The site also automatically pulls RSS feeds from the top ad blogs including Parker, Adrants, Alan Wolk, Adverganza, Adomatica, Make The Logo Bigger, etc. and allows users to vote those stories to the front page or down into the bowels of the site. What fun!

If you sign up today, know that the site is in beta, expect some kinks. The full launch will take place some time this week. Now, why didn’t Mediabistro think of this? Sigh. Next time killer. Next time.
