Sapient Corporation is moving from Penn Plaza to 40 Fulton St. in Lower Manhattan as the company is consolidating its Big Apple operations, merging SapientNitro and Sapient Global Markets and taking residence in four floors at the aforementioned address come September of this year. Regarding the imminent move to its “open, creative work environment,” which seems to be all the rage these days, SapientNitro NY SVP, managing director Hank Summy says in a statement, “We appreciate how the downtown area has evolved from a 9 to 5 business district into a vibrant area with residential buildings, hotels, dining, fine shopping and excellent access to the waterfront.” Whether the 10-year, 52,000 square-foot lease will inspire employees and clients as the holding company hopes is yet to be determined.
