I love New York. Seriously, gawd bless those crooked streets and vast avenues. Saatchi, who has the New York Tourism board account, is getting ready to drop some new posters in support of New York State, not just the city center. The $17 million campaign is geared to drive up the number of visitors by nearly a third to the Empire State. The first two lines of copy read:

“Go ahead and stare. We’re used to it. When you’re the state with the heart of the city, people want a closer look.”

Sorry… wha? Read it aloud. I’ll wait. “When you’re the state with the heart of the city…” What the hell does that mean? Is that a typo? Is that second “the” supposed to be an “a”? What?
