Though it has only 13 employees in tow at the moment, R/GA’s Chicago office is looking to ramp up staff (30 by year’s end is the goal) and in doing so, the agency hired executive creative directors Ken Erke and Matt Marcus to help lead the way.
Erke (pictured) was formerly EVP/CCO at Y&R Chicago, overseeing accounts including Craftsman, Die Hard, Hilton Hotels, and Sears. The creative actually had two stints at Y&R, initially spending six years at the agency (2000-2006) before leaving briefly for a VP/group creative director post at Cramer-Krasselt.
Marcus, meanwhile, was formerly worldwide director of e-business for Gucci and spent the past two years as a consultant for the likes of R/GA before being bumped up to full-time. He and Erke will both report to R/GA’s North American CCO Nick Law.
