RAPP L.A. reinforced its senior leadership team with the promotions of Hamish McCollester and Dave Scott to roles as senior vice president, group creative director.

The news follows the departure of executive creative director Nick Platt nearly four months ago and ends the search to find a replacement, with the agency choosing to fill it from within.

“We interviewed several external candidates,” RAPP L.A. president John Wells said in a statement. “And we had conversations with Dave and Hamish. In the end, it was clear that the best solution and talent was already right here in the building.”

McCollester joined RAPP in April of 2012, following a period as a freelance creative director and copywriter. Scott is a much more recent addition to the agency, having arrived at the office just five months ago.

“There was a lot of serendipity in the timing of Dave’s arrival. Not only did his deep art direction pedigree instantly fit the agency’s needs, especially on our Toyota business,” McCollester said, but we also instantly clicked as both creative and management partners.”
