Randy Browning Leaves Publicis Seattle

By Kiran Aditham

After nine years as CEO at Publicis Seattle, Randy Browning is leaving the agency to “pursue other career opportunities” according to the announce. Sources familiar with the matter, though, dispute the tips we’ve received this week which claimed that Browning was fired, telling us this is in fact “not accurate.”

The exec, who joined Publicis Seattle from Mullen in 2001, issued a statement saying: “I have enjoyed being part of the Publicis family. I have accomplished everything I set out to achieve and now I am seeking a career change. I have decided to leave Publicis Seattle to pursue opportunities in the mobile and digital space either inside or outside Publicis Groupe.”

Browning began his career at McCann-Erickson London and worked on Unilever and Coca-Cola biz. He subsequently joined W+K Amsterdam to handle projects for Nike Europe and Microsoft Europe before working on the Saturn brand at Hal Riney & Partners. Publicis says that Browning’s replacement will be announced in the coming weeks and that Publicis USA chief creative officer Bob Moore will oversee Seattle’s operations in the meantime.
