Quish Leaving JWT

By Kiran Aditham

Guess it’s a JWT kind of week. We’ve received word that Rob Quish, who took over as CEO of the agency’s Atlanta office (not to mention Houston and Dallas) just a year ago, is leaving. Quish, who succeeded Ridge White in the ATL last year, also served as CEO of JWT Inside, the agency’s recruitment marketing and employee comms unit. Anyhow, the exec is calling it quits after seven years at JWT in order to spend more time with his family and stay put in New York (his work schedule called for him to spend three days in Atlanta, one day in NYC each week). After the jump, check out the note David Eastman sent to staff at the top of the morning, which also explains the Atlanta office’s leadership transition.

It’s with mixed emotions that I share the news that Rob Quish, CEO of JWT Atlanta, will be leaving the agency following a transition period.

For the past year, Rob has been commuting between Atlanta and his home in New York. A difficult mission when you have family. As his youngest child nears the end of high school he understandably wants to be able to spend as much time with his family as possible, and after much deliberation has decided that he wants to be permanently based in New York.

We are fortunate to have a strong team in Atlanta to lead the agency. Marshall Lauck, currently Management Director at JWT Atlanta, is being promoted to Chief Operations Officer, reporting to JWT Atlanta Chief Creative Officer Perry Fair.  Marshall will run the operations side of the agency, including the Dallas and Houston arms of the office, while Perry will focus on creative, client accounts and growing the business.

Perry will also take on a greater leadership role within the Atlanta, Dallas and Houston offices, reporting to me effective immediately.

Rob’s duties as CEO of JWT Inside will be absorbed by John Windolph, President of JWT Inside. John has been doing an exceptional job managing the operations of JWT Inside in the U.S. for several years and we are confident that he will build on the strong foundation that Rob leaves behind.

Please join me in wishing Rob well in his new endeavors, and in congratulating Marshall, Perry and John on their expanded roles.

David”
