Producer Will Trade Wedding Invite for a Job

By Kiran Aditham

And here we thought we’d seen it all (foot nipples notwithstanding), but one George Roca has unveiled what he’s calling “the best online deal ever.” Roca, a New York-based agency producer who was laid off from Y&R after three-and-a-half years of service, is looking for a new gig within the industry and he’s going to, um, different measures to get it. See, Roca is getting hitched in Manchester, Vermont on Labor Day weekend this year and he wants to personally fly someone who can help him find a job out to his wedding, all-expenses paid.

Yes, this is real, according to Roca, who says, “Yes, this is real. No, I am not kidding. I’m 100% serious, if you help me find a job we will absolutely pay for you to come to our wedding. The only requirement is that the offer I accept must be for a full-time staff position with benefits. It doesn’t even have to be in NYC. Heck, it doesn’t even have to be in America! I have EU citizenship, so I can work there too. My previous employment was as a TV Commercial Producer at an advertising agency in NYC, so I’ll most likely try to stay in that industry & neighborhood, but hey, you never know!”

If you can’t wait to catch the bouquet and/or want to give this sombrero-sporting chap a chance, you can check out his full post here and his resume/reel here.
