Once Again, Another Agency/Brand Issue from Coca-Cola

So more on the Coke front (and pardon us for yet another familiar image with this one). Following the SEM/paid search shift, we though we’d let you know about some possibly maybe recent developments within the world’s perennially largest brand (besides Apple, that is). Here’s one statement from a Coca-Cola spokesperson: “Wieden + Kennedy, who has the global POWERADE business, is touching a piece of the US business.” We haven’t gotten clarification on what the “touching” means, but we’ve been told that “Ammirati is still very involved.  Both will be working on various projects for the soft-drink giant.”

Spies add that W+K will handle all branding efforts for Powerade, including TV and print.
