-Burger King and agency Buzzman released a response to a French McDonald’s billboard mocking the chain (video above). 

Starcom MediaVest Group laid off 80 employees as part of what it’s referring to as a “routine restructuring plan.”

-Maui Brewing appointed The Butler Bros as its design agency ahead of its packaging and identity redesign.

-New York-based production company Northern Lights added veteran editor Ben Whitten.

-Roy Rogers Restaurants appointed integrated public relations and social media agency Maroon PR as its agency of record. 

-Premium raspberry liqueur brand Chambord and its agency Mistress created a Leo-centric social media campaign around the Oscars. 

-Former Zimmerman Advertising CEO Pat Patregnani and branded entertainment pioneer Mark Alfieri launched “a new multi-screen, branded content marketing and entertainment company” called BrandStar

-Adweek explores “How Chris Rock Turned Girl Scout Cookies Into the Oscars’ Biggest Brand Winner.”
