-Starcom USA has appointed two new execs to its senior management board including Jens Welin, who arrives from SMG Sweden, and Arc alum Lisa Hurwitz, who will lead the P&G biz at SMG. Both will work out of the agency’s Chicago office.

-Former Ogilvy creatives Dustin Duke and Jon Wagner are joining up with Havas Worldwide’s New York office as GCDs.

-TBWA Toronto introduces us to a different kind of winter warrior in a new effort for Nissan Canada (above).

-Japanese beverage giant Suntory (which we’ll always remember Bill Murray hawking in Lost in Translation), is set to acquire American spirits company Beam, makers of Jim Beam, Maker’s Mark, etc., for $16 billion. link

-We were out of commission thanks to the bug late last week, but in case you missed it like we did, Minneapolis’s own Carmichael Lynch has taken over on creative duties for health/wellness retail chain, GNC.
