McKinney Alum Delbridge Heads to the West Coast

By Kiran Aditham

It’s been nearly eight months since we last heard a peep regarding Andrew Delbridge, who if you may recall last served as partner/chief strategy officer at now-Cheil-owned McKinney. Well, we’ve received news that the exec has finally resurfaced, this time in Huntington Beach, CA to serve as chief strategy and engagement officer at Hispanic agency, Grupo Gallegos. Delbridge, who assumed his new title this week, marks the third senior-level hire this year at Grupo Gallegos, which tapped Conill’s Pablo Buffagni to serve as its chief creative officer in March and welcomed BBH New York alum Joe Da Silva as managing director two months ago.

As mentioned, Delbridge arrives from McKinney, where he spent a dozen years in all (and consulted for after he was out as CSO, apparently). During his career, the newest Grupo Gallegos higher-up also spent ten years as board member of the 4As strategy committee and two of those as chairman. Oh yeah, and there was his appearance or two on The Pitch, lest we forget. As for Grupo Gallegos, the agency has worked on Hispanic-targeted efforts for the likes of Comcast, Clorox, Got Milk? and Denny’s.
