Tipsters told us the news yesterday and though we didn’t hear back from McGarry Bowen thanks to its stellar PR operation, the agency has now made it official that it will be opening up shop in London, bringing its total office count to three.
McGarry Bowen chief exec John McGarry made the announcement this morning and said that the expansion into Europe aligns with the agency’s parent company Dentsu’s focus on the region that was signified by the April launch of Dentsu London. With hopes that the London office mirrors the success of the Chicago branch, which was opened in 2007 and has grown from a few staffers to 70, McGarry Bowen says that the UK team will be comprised of local talent “who embody the values and culture” of founding partners McGarry and Gordon Bowen according to the release.
