McCann New York Promotes Susan Young and Daniela Vojta to ECD Roles

McCann New York promoted group creative directors Susan Young and Daniela Vojta to roles as executive creative directors, expanding its creative leadership team.

Young and Vojta were originally hired as group creative directors for McCann XBC, the unit of the agency devoted to the Mastercard account, in 2013. In May, the client consolidated its digital and social media work with that unit, dropping R/GA and VaynerMedia from its roster in the process.

“Every once in a while, you are lucky enough to get a team who not only does great work themselves, but gets great work out of everybody around them. That’s Susan and Daniela. We couldn’t be prouder and more excited about their promotion,” McCann New York co-chief creative officer Sean Bryan said in a statement.

Young spent over three and a half years as a creative director with Saatchi & Saatchi, where she worked on the 2013 Tide “Miracle Stain” Super Bowl campaign before leaving for McCann. Prior to that she served as a copywriter with W+K New York for nearly three years, KBS+ for five years and Nitro for a little over a year.

Vojta joined McCann following four years Saatchi & Saatchi New York, where she served as an integrated creative director for four years, working with clients including P&G and Tide North America. She also worked as an associate creative director at KBS, where her clients included Target, Coca-Cola, Citibank, Kao Brands, Wendy’s and the Ad Council, and a senior art director with Publicis New York on the L’Oréal, Club Med and Citizen Watches accounts.

“It is always a pleasure to have team members recognized for their contributions,” said Kathleen Hall, Microsoft’s corporate vice president of global advertising and media. “In this case, doubly so, when we have two power women bringing such great commitment, insight and creativity to our business. And, to have them both excel while delivering a baby each in the last year makes it even more special. Nothing can stop these two.”

The promotions follow on the heels of McCann New York bolstering its creative and account teams with the additions of executive account director Peter Bracegirdle and executive creative directors Shayne Millington and Craig Love earlier this month. They also follow the agency winning lead agency and brand strategy duties for Chick-fil-A.
