Marriott appointed Figliulo&Partners as creative agency of record for AC Hotels “upper-moderate-tier, design-led lifestyle” hotel brand following a review led by Joanne Davis Consulting, Adweek reports.
The appointment comes as AC Hotels looks to expand with 22 new locations this year, including Boston and Cincinnati. There was no incumbent on the account. A new campaign from the agency, encompassing print, out-of-home, video, digital, social and mobile is expected in the first quarter.
“We chose F&P because of their strategic thinking, breakthrough creativity and commitment to innovation,” Dan Vinh, vice president, global marketing, lifestyle brands at Marriott International, in a statement. “We are excited to work with F&P to create experiences that inspire creativity for the next-gen traveler.”
“As entrepreneurial thinkers and creative risk takers ourselves, we understand Marriott’s intention behind AC Hotels by Marriott,” added Figliulo&Partners founder and CEO Mark Figliulo. “They are doing something different in their category. We had immediate chemistry based on the belief that good design improves lives.”
For Figliulo&Partners, the appointment follows a year in which the agency won AOR duties for Carnival’s Seabourn Cruise Line and debuted its first work for Virgin Atlantic.
