Mark Peters Leaves McGarryBowen for Deutsch LA

By Kiran Aditham

Sources have confirmed that Mark Peters, who was a CD/AD/CW at McGarryBowen and worked on campaigns including the recent Noam Murro-directed Droid spot, is joining Deutsch LA as a creative director on the Volkswagen account.

Peters, a VCU Adcenter masters grad, was mentored by W+K alum Jelly Helm, who the former regards as “very influential in my creative approach.” Prior to McGarryBowen, Peters also held creative posts at The Martin Agency, Ogilvy and GSD&M and helped build brands including UPS, Coke, BMW, Marshalls, AT&T, LL Bean, Motorola, Cisco, Blue Cross, Kohler, Norwegian Cruise Lines and the aforementioned Verizon. From what we hear, Peters will start on Sept. 27.
