It’s been some time since an ad industry-related Tumblr reared its lovely head our way, but here we go again. It’s been around for a week-plus now, but the person and/or persons behind a site called “Agency Wank” have done an admirable job in collecting some of the most absurd, sanctimonious and delusional copy found on various agency websites. Notable names like BSSP along with shops like San Francisco’s Mortar and Chicago-based Plan B (the last of which gets a fair amount of, um, love) are targeted for their wankery. We’ve posted two of our choice examples above and one below.
Seems like a fair amount of industry folks and more have already caught on to the spate of silly self-promotion and we’re wondering if and when the agencies within the mix will respond in kind. But, for now, let us enjoy while we can.
