Lemonade: If You’ve Been Laid Off, This Film is For You

By Matt Van Hoven

Erik Proulx was a Sr. Copywriter at Arnold Boston until October of last year. When he was laid off, it sucked. We know this because he came to us to talk about how much it sucked, and then set up a Web site many of you know &#151 PleaseFeedTheAnimals, which has in less than a year transformed from “how we feel” blog to job board and resource for all things unemployment. Until now of course, that Proulx’s new documentary film has come together. Lemonade (lemonademovie dot com) is the film trailer you see here.

According to the movie’s synopsis, some 70,000 advertising professionals have lost their jobs during this recession. So Proulx hit the streets in search of ad-folks whose lives had changed for the better since losing their ad jobs.

The movie premier is all digital. We’re not sure when that’s happening, but you’ll be alerted to the details. Also, be sure to check out out Podcast Tuesday morning when Proulx will be our guest.
