LatinWorks Celebrates Multiculturalism in Marriott Campaign

By Erik Oster

Austin agency LatinWorks launched the latest iteration of Marriott’s “#LoveTravels” campaign with a pair of spots celebrating travel and multiculturalism featuring Diane Guerrero (Orange is the New Black, Jane the Virgin) and  Diego Boneta (Scream Queens).

Each spot examines how multiculturalism and diverse backgrounds factor into the actor’s life while promoting Marriott Rewards. Colombian-American Guerrero notes how visiting her family in Colombia is a trip back to her roots that reminds her of who she is. “I’m a Latina all the time and I’m an American all the time,” she explains. Boneta shares a similar sentiment, saying that he feels both American and Mexican, and that the duality is “one of the biggest blessings I have in life.”

Each two-minute spots weaves footage of the actors utilizing Rewards tools like the Marriott mobile check-in to make their travel experience easier. Marriott collaborated with LatinWorks and director Braden Summers, in addition to Grey, on the campaign.

“We are proud to partner with such admired and compelling influencers in the Latino community who truly embody what the #LoveTravels campaign is all about,” said Stacey Milne, vice president, portfolio marketing strategy and planning, Marriott International. “Marriott embraces all and is dedicated to finding inspiring stories that illustrate how people pursue their dreams, and bring their passions to life when they travel.”
