To follow up on yesterday’s We Hear item regarding Sharon Krinsky, we have received word from Bob Hoffman himself that the exec has indeed resigned from her president/CCO post at Hoffman/Lewis and will officially call it a day on Dec. 31 (she actually put in notice on Nov. 30). Succeeding Krinsky in the president position on Jan. 1 will be current EVP/general manager Josh Nichol, who has been with the San Francisco agency since the mid-90’s. Here are a few excerpts from Krinsky’s farewell memo to staff:
” …After many wonderful years, I have decided to leave Hoffman/Lewis…My official end date will be December 31st. I have decided that I’d like to be a mom again for a while. I left advertising once before for a year and frankly, I liked the hell out of it.
My oldest son.. is going off to college next year and I’d like to get to know him before he leaves home. My younger son… is reaching teen-hood and I’d like to experience first hand at least one of my boys growing into a man.
AdvertisementIt has been a wonderful 20 years here at Hoffman/Lewis. I am proud that we have been able to take a little agency from Oakland and grow it into one of the largest and finest independent agencies in the West.
As you know, we have a wonderful management group and Josh will be taking over my role as President.
On a personal note, I want to thank you all for your remarkable work on the agency’s behalf. And I also want to thank you for your friendship…
I have met some of my favorite people in the world in the corridors of Hoffman/Lewis. And I take with me 20 years of warm and happy memories. I am fortunate and grateful to have grown up in the H/L family.
