Kodak ‘Printervention’ Barely Grabs Our Attention

By Michael Musco

Deutsch NY hops on the faux-infomercial bandwagon with this spot for Kodak dubbed “Printervention,” which is part of the brand’s ongoing “Print and Prosper” campaign and is directed by Geordie Stephens at Tool of North of America.

We’re getting a sense of deja vu here, though, because in the past week, we’ve seen three different campaigns all adopting this infomercial strategy. Legacy/Arnold did it best with their truth “Shards O Glass” revival, next came Malibu and now Kodak. Who knows, it could all just be chalked up to coincidence, but it’s retreads like these that make us miss Billy Mays that much more.
