KG, Derrick Rose Try to Solve the Equation

By Kiran Aditham

Employing spiffy animation instead of the documentary style approach of last year’s “Brotherhood” campaign, 180LA (180/TBWA) unveils its latest basketball-themed effort for Adidas called “Lesson in Style.”

Here, Boston’s Kevin Garnett and Chicago Bulls guard Derrick Rose enjoy a phone conversation centered on translating your “game” off the court. A little trash-talk and a nice visual presentation (courtesy of Elastic and a52) help the elder statesman school the next generation on rocking Adidas in everyday life. If only Run DMC provided the soundtrack for the spot, which promotes the brand’s Equation shoe.
