Justin Timberlake Waxes Jason Bourne in Audi Webisodes

By Kiran Aditham

Audi has seemingly been everywhere since its Super Bowl campaign, launching webisodes on behalf of the U.S. Ski team and concurrent TV spots during the Winter Olympics to getting a nice plug for its R8 Spyder on the big screen in the upcoming Iron Man 2.

Now, the German automaker goes back to branded entertainment with “The Next Big Thing”, a web film divided into six episodes starring everyone’s obvious action hero…Justin Timberlake (?). The pop star and frequent SNL guest looks like he does his best Bourne impression in the trailer for the film (above), which promotes Audi’s A1. The A1 effort, created by Heimat Berlin, seems like the logical yet less ambitious follow-up to Audi’s 2005 “Art of the Heist” campaign, which itself was a reaction to BMW’s award-winning “The Hire” films directed by the likes of Guy Ritchie and Ang Lee. For the time being, though, it appears that the Audi A1 site to view the film has stalled; at least we’ll always have this trailer. Credits after the jump.

Update: Looks like the Audi A1 microsite is up now to view the trailer. The episodes themselves kick off on May 4.
